There is so much breast cancer support in our towns and cities,  but It is heart  breaking to see the lack of breast cancer awareness or support in our rural areas and townships across KZN.  Reach for Recovery Durban are working hard to make a difference in these areas.  Through our talks and awareness campaigns we hope to see earlier diagnosis and improve survival rates.  In the photo’s attached are our isiZulu speaking volunteers were out and about during Women’s Month.

RFR volunteers Ntombezinhle Madubane and Nomkhosi Ngwenya attended an event to celebrate Women’s day with the local community in Umlazi, and shared the importance of early detection, the early warning signs to look out for, and the support that Reach for Recovery can offer.

Reach for Recovery Durban was also invited by Khululiwe Radebe, founder of the Ekuphileni Care Centre, to talk to the community about breast cancer, and the vital importance of early detection.  There is such a lack of information , awareness, and support in these areas, and we always receive such a wonderful warm welcome.  This is where we are so desperately needed.  Reaching out into rural KZN one area at a time.  Thank you Ntombezinhle & Nomkhosi !
