A merry bunch of enthusiastic trainees from the Tygerberg, Cape Peninsula, Paarl and Somerset West / Stellenbosch groups spent 3 days at N1 City Netcare hospital with experienced volunteers and 3 excellent speakers learning to become fully fledged volunteers under the guidance of trainer and National Vice- Chair Alison Ayre. Reach for Recovery Western Cape are indebted to N1 City for their generosity in the free use of their facilities and their capable catering staff’s sustenance.
These newly trained volunteers will be of vital importance in the growing band of dedicated Reach for Recovery personnel to spread help and encouragement to all breast cancer patients and their families of life post breast cancer. Their decision to become volunteers is both welcome and appreciated by us all. We wish them well in their new career.
