Reach for Recovery volunteers took centre stage at the AFI fashion show

On Tuesday evening, 7 November 2023, Reach for Recovery volunteers took centre stage at the AFI fashion show hosted by Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe and the Motsepe Foundation in Johannesburg.

The event wasn’t just about showcasing the beauty and strength of our volunteer models; it was a reflection of kindness, empathy, and compassion in our world. It served as a celebration of life, hope, and the power of community.

Witnessing the talented makeup artists, hairdressers, and fashion team come together to create magic was nothing short of breathtaking.  Each model was adorned in gowns that perfectly captured their unique personality, making them feel special and confident.

The day was filled with amusement, merriment, affection, and empathy. Our volunteers felt like highly regarded celebrities, flaunting their abilities and blossoming into stunning swans.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the generous R300,000 donation from the Motsepe Foundation, giving us the wings to continue our mission of supporting breast cancer patients and educating communities on breast cancer.

We express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe and the Motsepe Foundation for this incredible opportunity and the financial support provided.
